About the Company

      Five Star Furnishings Inc. is a custom contract furniture manufacturer. While the primary markets include hospitality, retirement communities and assisted living facilities, the highly flexible production facility enables the manufacture of custom designs from a variety of other woodworking markets such as residential, institutional, or store fixtures. In business since 2002, Five Star has recently moved to a new manufacturing facility on Keele Street in Toronto.

      Five Star fills a unique niche in the contract furniture business. Small enough to offer the flexibility of a custom shop while being capable of doing larger jobs, it has the specialized equipment and technical expertise required to match the quality and precision of a large manufacturer.

About the Founder

       Five Star Furnishings was founded in 2002 as a vision of Mico Jekic, a mechanical engineer specializing in woodworking. His 25 years of experience in running both small and large furniture operations, and the wealth of experience in proper scheduling, rigid quality control, lean manufacturing and on-time delivery ensure that you get a product of the highest quality on time, every time.
